Company History

Paul E. RidleyPaul E. Ridley founded Ridley’s Book Bindery in 1931 during the great depression of the 1930’s. The bindery operated as a “mom and pop” business through the 1940’s when Cornell University became its largest account. It continues today as a family owned and operated business. Ridley’s Book Bindery has grown to the present time extending its business through the northeastern United States, including Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and, Ridley’s Book Bindery home state, New York.

Ridley's Book Bindery’s primary service has been, and remains today, quality library binding. Over 95% of our business comes from academic, medical and law school libraries. At the same time, we continue to accept materials from those who wish to preserve family heirlooms or favorite books. We also bind special publications, such as family genealogies and editions.
